Who I am

Cestria Tech is a small software studio based in Chester, United Kingdom. For anything relating to your personal data, email leo@cestriatech.co.uk.

What I collect, and why

I only collect what you type into the contact form on this site:

• Your name — so I know who I'm replying to.
• Your email address — so I can reply.
• Your phone number — optional, only if you'd rather I called.
• Your message — what you've asked about.

That's it. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising network, and no profiling on this site. I use your details to answer your enquiry and, if we end up working together, to carry out that work. Nothing else.

Lawful basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing me — though if I've already replied, I may keep the email thread for my business records.

Who else sees it

I don't sell or share your data with anyone for marketing. Three suppliers necessarily handle it as part of delivering the site and my email:

• Web3Forms

  Receives your form submission and forwards it to my inbox. They act as a processor and do not use your data for their own purposes.

• Zoho Mail (EU data centre)

  Hosts the mailbox your message lands in, and any replies I send you.

• Vercel

  Hosts this website. Like any web host, their servers log basic request information such as IP address for security and reliability. I don't have access to these logs and don't use them.

This site also loads its stylesheet from cdn.tailwindcss.com, which means your browser makes a request to that CDN and it can see your IP address. No cookie is set by it.

Cookies

That's why you won't see a cookie banner here. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is only needed for non-essential cookies and similar storage — and this site uses none, so there is nothing to ask you about. If that ever changes, a proper consent banner will appear before anything is set, and this page will be updated first.

How long I keep it

If your enquiry doesn't turn into work, I delete the message and your details within 12 months. If we do work together, I keep the correspondence for six years after the project ends, because HMRC requires business records to be retained for that long.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what I do with it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can also object to my processing it, and withdraw consent at any time.

Email leo@cestriatech.co.uk and I'll respond within one month. It costs you nothing.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. I'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes to this notice

If I change how this site handles personal data, I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
